about

'Beautiful, sparse, considered music' - a listener

'His easy, intimate, almost conversational delivery draws you in from the start... a most likeable album' - Folk London

'I won't add any more to this review as it is long enough already. By now you will realise I really liked the album... and it is a bargain at £5 for the lot... '

'Good vocals and excellent recording quality, and good songs. The cover is good as well... ' - Nick Dow

'A very good selection of material, very nicely played. Particularly pleased to hear your take on True Blue!' - Andy Turner

'What a lovely laid-back and relaxed album. I particularly liked the last track Archie's Fancy + Elsie's Waltz.' - Rees Wesson

'Having just heard the album I think it is lovely. A great collection of songs, and the tunes are good as well. A perfect production too! I hope it gets out to a larger audience.' - Doug Welch

'I enjoyed it very much, and was taken by its intimacy; simple, well crafted songs and tunes that made me feel as though you were singing to me! ... Good selection of material honestly played.' - Derek Simpson

'A lovely selection of songs and tunes, performed in a warm conversational style.' - Tom Addison

'Excellent album. It’s a classic traditional work
and deserves to be a success.' - Steve Nevill

'A fine example of how the melodeon can be used to accompany songs. I was particularly impressed by the chordal work. The tune sets are none too shabby either... ' - Baz Parkes

'We enjoyed it too' - Ian Dedic

'Just listened. It's lovely!' - Keith Leech

They say we should make the most of whatever comes our way.

When three weeks of leave from work came my way during the covid-19 pandemic, I decided to make an album of material I’ve been playing and singing over the past couple of years.

This is therefore a wide-ranging collection with no particular theme – except that I’ve been enjoying performing them. I hope you will like them as much as I do!
